PIN220-D00ING AIR 220 D – Plug-In Electronic Protector for Air Conditioners and Cooling Equipment 220Vac 20A NEMA 6-20 P/R (English Edition)
BREAKERMATIC AIR 220 D
220 VAC, 20 A, NEMA 6-20 Plug & Receptacle (English Edition)
For Conventional, Mini-Split Air Conditioners and Refrigeration Equipment.
The BREAKERMATIC Air 220 D is an electronic voltage protector specially designed to prevent damage to your air conditioning equipment caused by high or low voltage or blackouts or sags. It is ideal for equipment equipped with a plug or socket, making it easy to install the protector without disturbing the equipment.
The BREAKERMATIC Air 220 D will disconnect your equipment in the event of a power failure and will keep it disconnected for the duration of the failure and for the time necessary to equalize the refrigeration system pressures. It will then automatically reconnect your equipment.
Easy to install and guaranteed 24-hour protection! Connect your equipment's plug to the BREAKERMATIC Air 220 D outlet, and then directly plug the protector to the wall outlet.
In addition to air conditioning equipment, this protector can be used on any commercial refrigeration equipment equipped with a cord and plug. Its robust construction and high capacity make it ideal for heavy-duty applications.
Ideal For:
- Single-phase mini-split air conditioners up to 20A
- Single-phase refrigeration equipment up to 2 HP
- Window air conditioners up to 20A
- Freezers
- Display cabinets, coolers, among others.
Connection and capacity
The BREAKERMATIC AIR 220 D can operate any equipment with a plug NEMA 6-20 or NEMA 6-15, compatible with the protector's NEMA 6-20 outlet. The use of external adapters is not recommended. You must also connect it to a wall outlet compatible with the protector's NEMA 6-20 plug to ensure sufficient current capacity.
Operation
Protection against steady-state voltage variations
The BREAKERMATIC AIR 220 D disconnects the output if the steady-state voltage is above the high cut-off voltage or below the low cut-off voltage indicated in the specifications. In the case of adjustable equipment, the cut-off voltages can be set within the ranges indicated in the specifications. The response time to a fault is typically 1 s. The voltage must remain outside the range longer than the response time for the disconnection to be activated. While the fault persists, the corresponding high or low voltage indicator will remain lit.
Reconnection delay or standby cycle
When the protector is energized, or at the end of a voltage failure, the protector will initiate a time delay before connecting the output. The duration of the time delay is indicated in the specifications. The standby cycle protects sensitive equipment from short operating cycles, allowing, in the case of A/C and refrigeration equipment, system pressures to equalize before reconnecting.
Autostart ®
This feature reduces the standby cycle to 5 seconds when the protector has been off for a considerable amount of time.
Detection of blackouts and sags
The protector will disconnect the load if it detects a sudden voltage drop below 50% of the nominal voltage and will initiate a standby cycle.
